1. Electrical appliances

What is covered?

  • Repairs necessary as a result of faulty materials, defective components or manufacturing defect.
  • The cost of functional replacement parts, but excluding consumable items.
  • The labour costs of an approved repairer to carry out the repair.
  • What is not covered?

  • Cabinet or appearance parts, including knobs, flaps, handles or container lids.
  • Accessories or consumable items including but not limited to, ice trays, scrapers, cutlery baskets, filters and light bulbs.
  • Repairs required as a result of unauthorized repair or inexpert installation that fails to meet the requirements contained in the user instruction book.
  • Repairs to products used on commercial or non-residential household premises.
  • Loss of frozen food in freezers or fridge/freezers. (Food loss insurance is often included within your household contents insurance policy, or may be available separately from your retailer).
  • Important notes

  • Your product is designed and built for domestic household use only.
  • The guarantee will be void if the product is installed or used in commercial
  • or non-residential domestic household premises.
  • The product must be correctly installed, located and operated in accordance with the instructions contained in the User Instructions Booklet provided.
  • Professional installation by a qualified Electrical Domestic Appliance Installer is recommended for all Washing Machines, Dishwashers, Built- in Hobs, Built- in Ovens, Extractor Fans and Electric Cookers
  • The guarantee is given only within the boundaries of the Republic of Bulgaria.
  • The guarantee is applicable only to new products and is not transferable if the product is resold.
  • FSV disclaims any liability for incidental or consequential damages. The guarantee does not in anyway diminish your statutory or legal rights.
  • 1.1 Ceramic hob tips & care advices

  • Optimum efficiency is achieved by using pans that match diameters of the burners. If the pan is too small energy is wasted.
  • Do not use aluminum- bottomed pots. This result in the deterioration of the ceramic glass surface.
  • Make sure the hob is sufficiently cool before you start cleaning.
  • Never mix different cleaning products as different acting ingredients may react with unforeseen results.
  • Clean daily to avoid soilage being burnt on.
  • Be sure to use cleaning agent that does not scratch the ceramic glass surface.
  • You can use ceramic hob scrapper to remove spilled food remains and stubborn marks from the surface.
  • Do not use the surface for storing or any other non-cooking purposes.
  • 1.2 Refrigerator tips & care advices

  • If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time switch it off, remove all food, clean it and leave the door ajar.
  • We recommend that you switch off the appliance at the socket outlet and pull out the mains plug before cleaning.
  • Never use any sharp abrasive instrument, soap, household cleaner, detergent and wax polish for cleaning.
  • Any dust that gathers on the condenser, which is located at the back of the appliance, should be removed once a year with a vacuum cleaner.
  • Make sure that the special plastic container (drain tray) at the back of the appliance which collects defrost water is clean at all times.
  • Check door seals regularly to ensure they are clean and free from food particles.
  • Clean your appliance regularly.
  • Keep raw meat and poultry below cooked food and dairy products.
  • Wrap food which have a strong odour or can dry out in polythene bags, aluminum foil or place in an airtight container.
  • Don’t store poisonous or any dangerous substances in your appliance. It has been designed for the storage of edible foodstuffs only.
  • Don’t store cooked and fresh food together in the same container.
  • Don’t leave the door open for long periods as this will make the appliance more costly to run and cause excessive ice formation.
  • 1.3 Washing machine tips & care advices

    Never place your machine on a carpet covered floor. Otherwise, lack of airflow from below of your machine may cause electrical parts to overheat. This may cause problems with your washing machine.

    First Use

  • To prepare your machine for washing, carry out your first washing process without loading your machine and with detergent under “Cottons 90°C” program. Ensure that the cold and hot water connections have been made correctly when installing your machine.
  • The appliance may only be used for washing and rinsing of textiles that are marked accordingly.
  • Only detergents, softeners and supplements suitable for washing machines may be used.
  • Observe the care instructions labeled on textile products and any other instructions given by companies that produce detergents for your machine
  • The supply and draining hoses must always be securely fastened and remain in an undamaged state.
  • Never open the door or remove the filter while there is still water in the drum. Otherwise, there may be the risk of flooding and possible injury due to the hot water.
  • Never force open the locked door! The door will be ready to open just a few minutes after the washing cycle comes to an end.
  • Sort the laundry according to type of fabric, color, and degree of soiling and permissible water temperature.
  • Always follow the advice on the garment labels.
  • 1.4 Dishwasher tips & care advices

  • Dishwashers require a grounded electrical connection. Never use an extension cord to power a dishwasher.
  • This dishwasher has been designed to clean your dirty dishes at home.
  • Never use chemical solvents in your machine; this may lead to explosion risk.
  • Never use materials other than specially produced softening salts in the salt dispenser of your machine.
  • Never use materials other than specially produced detergents and rinse-aids in the detergent and rinse aid dispensers of your machine.
  • What should not be washed in your dishwasher?
  • Do not wash items soiled with cigarette ash, candle/paint wax, dyes, chemicals etc. since these may damage your machine.
  • Do not wash forks, knives and spoons with wooden or bone handles, items stuck together with adhesives, plastic items not resistant to high temperatures. Copper, tin items and aluminum ware in your dishwasher.
  • As with hand washing, some “on-glaze” decorated china, aluminum or silver have a tendency to discolour or fade. Also, certain types of glassware and crystals may lose their shine and become opaque in time.
  • A chemical reaction can occur between silver cutlery and stainless steel cutlery. As a precaution, do not wash together. Iron and cast iron objects can rust and stain other items. Before the first wash, add 1 Litre of water to the salt container of your machine. The dishwasher requires lime free water. Hard water leaves watermarks on your dishes. Your dishwasher has a special water softening system to remove the hardness of the tap water. Setting this system correctly will increase the washing effectiveness. Loading the dishwasher Loading the dishwasher correctly will increase the washing, drying and energy performance of your machine. Cleaning your machine at regular intervals ensures longer product life and reduces the risk of recurring problems. Clean spray arms and in particular filters at least once a week. Always unplug the appliance and turn off the water supply before cleaning. Do not use abrasive detergents. If the appliance is not going to be used for a long period of time, switch off, turn off the water clean and leave the door ajar.

    2. Mattresses

    The period of guarantee for the mattresses is 2 years. The warranty applies to defects having occurred in the process of routine use within the warranty period due to a manual mistake in the manufacturing process or low-quality materials or components. Within this period the company shall recognize claims in the following cases: 1. Deformed spring unit; 2. Defects in the fabrics; 3. Defects in mattress assembly; 4. Deformations larger than 2 cm. The warranty shall not cover standard changes in the rigidity of the mattress or the characteristics of the products, which do not affect their properties and do not render them unfit for routine usage. The warranty shall be valid, only if the product purchased is used and maintained in accordance with the instructions. In the context of improper usage of the products, the warranty shall not be valid in the following cases: 1. Unstitching of a seam on the mattress; 2. Folding of the mattress / Improper transportation; 3. Tearing, cutting, burning, puncturing, etc.; 4. Exercising of strong pressure; 5. Jumping on the mattress and the frame; 6. Placing a mattress on the spring or another platform not designed for this purpose. 7. Pollution with mildew stains (mould). 8. Damaging the product as a result of poor maintenance, negligent usage or the like.

    3. MFC furniture

    The period of the guarantee for each MFC product is described in its specification. The specifications of the products you can find on our website, on each product page. The guarantee covers furniture hardware – hinges, drawer slides, cupboard and drawer systems, edging of MFC boards. The guarantee does not cover mechanical damages caused by the use of abrasive detergents, or any other damages caused by fire, flood and water leaks. Your product is designed and built for domestic use only. The rooms must be airy without dampness. The MFC furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Guarantee shall be borne by FSV within the statutory period and shall commence from the date of signature of the take-over protocol. FSV is not responsible for lost warranty card / purchase contract / in attempted repair by unauthorized persons and for damage caused by improper use. Guarantee the installation of furniture is covered by FSV only if the installation is carried out by his agents.

    4. Pine furniture

    Pine is softwood, usually light-yellow in color. Pine wood will normally display broadly spaced and striated grain pattern with naturally occurring knots. The guarantee covers furniture hardware – hinges, drawer slides, cupboard and drawer systems. The guarantee does not cover mechanical damages caused by the use of abrasive detergents, or any other damages caused by fire, flood and water leaks. Your product is designed and built for domestic use only. The rooms must be airy without dampness. The pine furniture should not be exposed to direct sunlight. Guarantee shall be borne by FSV within the statutory period and shall commence from the date of signature of the take-over protocol.     5. Beech furniture

    Beech is a heavy, pale-colored, medium-to-hard wood used widely for chairs and stools. It has a fine, tight grain and large medullar rays, similar in appearance to maple or birch woods. Beech wood has a high shock resistance and takes stains well. The period of the guarantee for each product made of natural beech wood is described in its specification.     6. Upholstered furniture

    FSV warrants only the plywood and hardwood frames and the sleeper mechanisms of the sofas, under conditions of ordinary use, for 1 year from date of purchase, to be free of defects in workmanship and materials. This warranty does not apply to conditions caused by physical damage or improper use. Note: Loss of cushion resilience should not be confused with slight softening and flattening of cushion foam and fibers as a result of normal use and aging. Cushion materials conform to the shape of the user and should not be considered manufacturing defects. To enhance the life and feel of your sofas, we recommend the following: • Vacuum frequently to keep fabrics fresh and long wearing. • Remove stains immediately • Blot stain with cloth to remove excess from fabric. Do not rub. • Remove dried stains by brushing and vacuuming loose particles. • Brushing may be needed to restore pile or appearance of fabric.
